Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300 m / 4264 feet)

Welcome to the glorious beautiful city of naturally rich Nepal. Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), complete the immigration formalities. Meet our office representative in arrival gate. After welcoming, transfer to the hotel and check in to the room. Have welcome drinks and be refreshed.  Late evening, we go for dinner in a local cultural restaurant where we will be seeing the tribal dances of different tribes and finally enjoy the delicious cultural dishes. Overnight in the hotel. Dinner

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (Kathmandu Darbar Square and Swaymbhunath stupa) and Trek Briefing

Today we visit 2 UNESCO World Heritages Sites of Kathmandu among 7 and later, late afternoon we participate in trek briefing session. After breakfast, first we drive to Kathmandu Darbar Square, where you will get stunning views of ancient temples, houses and palace. We visit palace of Malla and Shah King Dynasties, Kal Vhairav- deity of justice, home of living goddess Kumari and if lucky we get blessed from her, Maru Ganesh- one of the four main Ganesh Temples without pinnacle on the roof and many more legendary temples and monuments. Then we drive to Swaymbhunath Stupa, standing erect in the hillock offering 360 degree view of the city. Swaymbhunath is a popular ancient Buddhist pilgrimage site, also known as the Monkey temple, which is the oldest stupa more than 2000 years old. Swaymbhunath is the white dome with a gold conical shape on top painted with the watchful eyes of Buddha. Besides main Stupa, we visit peace pond, Harati Temple, Shantipur, Pratap Malla Turm, Agnipura, Nagpura, different monasteries, chortons and temples. Sightseeing will be completed till noon.  In the late afternoon, at hotel, we will interact with our trek guide who will be explaining the trek details. After briefing, rest day is free on your own. You can do shopping of overlooked but necessary trekking gears at Thamel market. Overnight in the hotel. Breakfast

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla flight and trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

Early morning after breakfast transfer to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu Airport for an adventurous as well as the scenic flight to Lukla (2860m/ 9381ft), a gateway destination for trekking in Everest Region. After 40 minutes flight, we reach in the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. Meet our other crew members, make ready the trekking gears and start the first day’s easy and short trek. Initially, we descend gentle slope for 2 hours passing by stone Mani wall and beautiful villages of Chheplung, Nachipang and Thado Koshigaon.  To reach Ghat, where Dudh Koshi River comes in level, we climb for 15 minutes and then follow flat trail. Further passing by Gompa and walk through the forest, finally we reach Phakding. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m/11,280 ft)

Today we cross suspension bridges many times above the DudhKoshi River, one of which is the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. We start our trek crossing the suspension bridge and gentle climb to Toktok. Further we descend to Bengkar passing by water fall and view of Thamsherku appears. From Bengkar, crossing another suspension bridge we climb for some time and descend to Chhumawa and again crossing another suspension bridge, where Manjo Khola confluence with Dudh Koshi River, we climb steep trail for about 30 minutes to Monjo. From Monjo we enter into Sagarmatha National Park and crossing another bridge we reach Jorsale village. Crossing the last bridge of the day, the Hillary Bridge at Larja Dobhan where Bhote Koshi confluence with Dudh Koshi, we climb steep path for 1.5 hours to reach Top Danda from where the first sight of Mt. Everest  appears. Further, about 1.5 hours steep climb bring us to Namche Bazzar, the gateway to Mt. Everest and the main trading center of Khumbu Region. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 05: Namche Bazaar: Rest day

Today we spend a day in Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize in the thinning air. It is highly recommended to stay active in rest day also which helps to acclimatize the body quickly. Hiking in little high altitude will help to acclimatize properly. So in the morning, we climb for about 2 hours to the Syangboche from where we can see rewarding view of stunning Himalayas including Mt. Everest. Walking along the Syangboche Airport till the end we take 2 left turns and hike steep down for an hour to Namche. After lunch, we explore the culture of Sherpa people and surrounding attractions. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 06: Namche Bazzar to Tengboche [3860m/12660ft]

Today the trail is gradual ups and downs through the rhododendron forest with the magnificent view of Himalayas. From Namche Bazzar, we follow the right handed path and start descending passing by Tenzing Norgya Memorial Stupa and through the village of Sanasa, the junction of Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp till we reach the suspension bridge of Phungi Thanga over Dudh Koshi River. On the way the spectacular view of Himalayas including Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam energize us. From Phungi Thanga the trail is steep up through the forest of Rhododendron and fir trees to Tengboche village, the home of biggest Buddhist Monastery of Everest region and the close up view of massive Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Everest is very impressive. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche [4360m/14304ft]

Today we continue the trek through the dense rhododendron forest walking gradual down to Milinggo village. On the way there is high chance to encounter with Musk Deer, Monal, Blue sheep. After crossing the suspension bridge over Imja Khola the trail is gradual up and down.  Passing by several Chortens, Mani walls and Pangboche Village we continue the trek through the village of Syomare, Orsho and Samso Ogma. From there we follow the right path and after crossing the bridge over the confluence of Khumbu Khola and Imja River, we climb steep path for about an hour from where we can see the spectacular view of Taboche, Ama Dablam, Khangteka, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and many more. After few minutes gradual walk, we will be welcomed by chorten and prayer flags in Dingboche. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 08: Dingboche to Dughla (4,620 m/15,154 ft)

From today the vegetation disappear and enter into sub alpine bare land but greet with snowcapped mountain views on all sides. We follow the left path leaving the Pheriche village down and gradual upward walk will bring us to the yak herder’s place, Dusa (4,503m). Further the sight of Chola Lake and Mt. Pumo Ri (7161m) appears on the way. We cross the small wooden bridge and climb steep up to Dughla. Dughla offers marvelous view of Nuptse, Pumori, Cholatse, Thamserku and several other magnificent peaks. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 09: Dughla to Lobuche (4910 m/16,105 ft)

Today is short day but not an easy one as we have to cross the Thukla Pass and have to walk through the boulder path left by the Khumbu Glacier. We start trek climbing steep way to Thokla Pass (4830m) from where we can see the close up view of Mt. Tobuche, Cholatse and Lobuche.  At the top there are piles of stones with prayer flags, memorials of death climbers including Babu Chiri Sherpa, 10 times Everest submitter and Scott Fischer, American mountaineer. On the way down through the Khumbu Glacier moraine, several great peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, Mahalangur Himal greet us. After crossing Khumbu Glacier, beautiful sight of Mt. Nuptse towering in our right. Further gradual climb will take us to Lobuche. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep [5140 m/16,860ft] to Everest Base Camp [5364 m/17,594 ft] to Gorak Shep

Today we reach in the ultimate destination of our trek, Everest Base Camp. Having early breakfast, we start trek along the moraine of Khumbu glacier passing through Italian Research Center and Lobuche Pass (5110m) we reach to Chongri Glacier. On the way to Chongri Glacier we get the first sight of the summit of north ridge of Mt. Everest along with 360 degree view of snowcapped mountains including Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse and many more. Walking up through boulder path of Changri glacier we reach Gorak Shep. After check in to the Lodge at Gorak Shep we continue our trek leaving the Kalapathar (view point) on left and passing by Indian army mountaineers' memorials we reach Everest Base Camp. We rejoice the achievement of our trip goal by capturing massive Nuptse, Khumbuste and Punori in our camera. Mt. Everest is not visible from Everest Base Camp. After spending memorable moment we trek back to Gorak Shep. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Note: We can stay in Gorak Shep to hike the Kala Patthar late afternoon for impressive sunset view over Himalayas including Mt. Everest. And continue to Everest Base Camp in following day. Sunset view from Kala Patthar is more impressive than the sunrise view over snowcapped mountain including Mt. Everest. So who wish to hike Kala Patthar today, our guide and porters will accompany you.

Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar [5550m/18204ft] to Pheriche [4240 m/13,907 ft]

Today, we hike one of the best view points on planet, Kala Patthar hill (5550m) from where we get to see 360 degree Himalayas view with Mt. Everest from base camp to peak and whole Khumbu Glacier. We start trek early in the morning at dark and reach in the view point of Kala Patthar to witness first sun rays stroke in the Himalayas. We climb 2 to 3 hours steep trail to reach Kala Patthar and enjoy the view of massive and sky towering Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kantenga, AmaDablam, Changtse, Thamserku, Pumori, Kantenga and many more. We spend exciting moment and capture the breathtaking scenery from Kala Patthar and trek back to Gorakshep. After breakfast we trek back to Dughla via same route and then follow the right ride trail to Pheriche. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 12: Pheriche to Pangboche to Tengboche to Namche Bazzar [3,440 m/11,280 ft]

After breakfast we trek down through rhododendron and juniper forest passing by Samdrang village, stone wall, Tsuro Og and catch the same route back via Syomare village. Crossing the river several times through suspension bridge and walking steadily we reach at the home of biggest Buddhist Monastery of Everest region, Tengboche. From there we descend down to the river and again crossing suspension bridge, passing by beautiful village of Phungi Thanga and enjoying magnificent view of Himalayas on the way we reach at Tenzing Norgye Memorial Stupa. On the way we may encounter with wild life such as colorful pheasants, Blue Sheep, deer etc. After then about one hour gradual walk will bring us to main town of Everest Region, the Namche Bazzar. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla [2,800m/9,186ft]

Today, we trek back the same way which we had climbed in first two days trek. After breakfast we descend steep down for 2 hours to Larja Bridge in Larja Dobhan where Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River confluence. We leave the Sagarmatha National Park in Jorsale Village and reach Monjo. From there the entire trail is gradual up and down and walking through rhododendron forest and passing by beautiful villages of Chhumowa, Bengkar, Tokto, Phakding we reach in Koshigaun.  Freezing cold turns to moderately warm and our body get relief today. From there 2.5 hours gradual climb passing by Nachipang village, Chheplung village and stone Mani wall bring us to Lukla. In Lukla we do relax and stretch the tired body. Late afternoon we can stroll around the Lukla. Evening we enjoy the last dinner with crew members.

Day 14: Lukla to Kathmandu by flight

After early breakfast we fly back to Kathmandu memorizing those excited and beautiful days. In Kathmandu you can take a rest throughout the day in hotel or you can explore other attractions of Kathmandu. For the memory of Nepal trip you can buy some souvenirs for yourself or for friends and family in Thamel Area. Late evening we celebrate the success of our trip and enjoy dinner together. Breakfast, Dinner

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast you are free till departure time. If you have more time you can do last minute shopping or sightseeing around Kathmandu. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, a representative from Holiday Trip Nepal Pvt. Ltd. drops you to the airport. Breakfast
